When Margo and I started out she was making Kahlua. Not being a huge fan of Kalua, but loving Amaretto I decided to make some. I finally mastered it. I then set out for the perfect presentation. Nice label, tasting cork, and a seal to make it all look impressive. Looks as good as it tastes! LOL
Secret World Famous Chateau Willoughby Amaretto Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Cups Water
2 Cups White Sugar
1 lb Brown Sugar
1.75 L Vodka
½ Cup Almond Extract
¼ Cup Vanilla Extract
Directions:
Combine water and sugars in a sauce pan over medium heat. Heat until mixture is boiling, and all of the sugar is dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and cool for 10 minutes. Stir in vodka, almond extract, and vanilla extract to the mixture. Store in a sealed bottle.
Yield:
4 750 ml bottles (and a little extra for sampling!)
