Tonight I cooked my first steak on the flat top. OMG, it was awesome!
It is hard to judge the temperature, because the weather seems to affect it so much. Tonight it was nice outside and there was no wind. The grill heated up fast and stayed hot. Not much difference if I shut down a burner. So I tried to do the same as my previous reverse seared steak. Cook at 225°, to 95° IT.Flip. Cook to 115°. Pull steaks.Crank the grill up as high as it will go. Place a pat of butter on grill. Sear steaks for a couple of minutes. (I did “smash” the steak a little).
Enjoy!
