Just got this Camp Chef FTG600 and I love it! This was my first cook. This is easy and tasty!
You will need:
a rib eye steak
slices of onion
garlic powder
butter
olive oil
salt and pepper
provolone cheese
hoagie rolls
Put the steak in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Pull and slice as thin as you can. Remove any huge chunks of fat.
Put some oil and butter on the hot griddle. Start the onions. Season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
After the onions get a good head start, butter and oil another griddle section. Put the beef on this section. Season it the same as the onions. As it cooked, I chopped it up some with the spatulas.
As this is cooking place the open hoagie rolls in an indirectly heated section of the griddle.
Separate the beef into roll sized piles and place the onions and provolone cheese on top. (I had a some mushrooms on mine) I did not, but next time will cover with an upside down pan to make the cheese melt faster.
Put meat and cheese on the rolls and enjoy!
