I guess that we are done buying those famous peanut butter cups! LOL These are DELICIOUS! Change the color of the sprinkles and liners to match any holiday!

This recipe was shared by a friend of mine from an old high school job. Yes, that was a long time ago. She got this from the Taste of Home site.

You will need:

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup confection’s sugar
4 1/2 tbsp of soft butter
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups (12 ozs) semisweet chocolate chips
4 milk chocolate candy bars (1.55 ozs each) coarsely chopped
colored sprinkles (optional)

Combine 1/2 cup peanut butter, confectioner’s sugar, butter and salt. Roll this mixture into logs that will be sliced and dropped into cups. Place in refrigerator.

Place chocolate chips, candy bars, and remaining peanut butter into a microwavable bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until soft and mixed well.

Drop chocolate mixture into each liner. Place a slice of the peanut butter into each liner and top with some more of the chocolate mixture. Put sprinkles on top if desired. Refrigerate until set up and then store in an airtight container. Should make about 36 cups.

Enjoy!
